At Art in Motion we believe in a holistic approach to exercise, in the sense that we encourage our clients to engage in their movements and work mindfully and skillfully. The difference of exercising intelligently versus passively, is vast and we can only hope to achieve our ideal physical state when we are mindfully involved in our practice, whether we focus on fitness or rehabilitation.
How we work:
Before you start training with us, we will discuss your aims and ask that you take a private induction session. This includes a brief analysis of your posture as well as an induction to the main principles of the exercise program you will choose to attend. Following your induction session, we will devise a program customized to your needs and requirements, which will be regularly updated in terms of variety and challenge. Classes can be dynamic, remedial or suitable for pregnancy (pre and post natal). Whether you wish to tone your body, release tension, improve your posture, recover from injury, we will work with you to meet your needs through carefully designed classes.
We have chosen to offer the methods of Pilates, Gyrokinesis®, BalleTone and T.M.S. as we believe they complement each other beautifully. Occasionally, we may recommend you follow a specific combination, should we think it will work best for you. Alternatively you can book a mix!
